Soon-to-be free agent running back Kenneth Walker III, who was named Super Bowl MVP during the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl LX win last month, announced his decision to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday (March 9).

"Chiefs Kingdom," Walker wrote with a graphic showing him in a Chiefs uniform that confirmed he "agreed to terms" with Kansas City.

Walker, 25, can officially sign with the Chiefs at the start of the 2026 NFL league year on Wednesday (March 11) at 4:00 p.m. ET, at which point all 2025 contracts will expire. The former Michigan State standout was selected by the Seahawks at No. 41 overall in the second-round of the 2022 NFL Draft and spent his first four seasons with the franchise.

Walker led the Seahawks with 1,027 yards yards on 221 carries, while also recording five touchdowns, during the 2025 regular season, having the majority of attempts while splitting carries with Zach Charbonnet, who recorded 730 yards and a team-best 12 rushing touchdowns on 184 attempts, before suffering a season-ending injury during the NFC Divisional Round. Walker led all NFL running backs in rushing yards (313), rushing touchdowns (4) and rushing attempts (65) during the postseason, which included recording a game-best 135 yards on 27 rushing attempts en route to winning Super Bowl LX MVP during the Seahawks' 29-13 win against the New England Patriots last month.
